2/2/2009: Guy D. Chapdelaine Joins St. Mary’s Bank’s Board of Directors

Manchester, NH—Guy D. Chapdelaine, CPA, has been selected as the newest member of St. Mary’s Bank’s Board of Directors. 

Mr. Chapdelaine was appointed during St. Mary’s Bank’s Board of Directors meeting, held on January 21, 2009.  He fills the vacancy created by the passing of Director Joseph Acorace last April.   Chapdelaine’s name will appear on the ballot for the St. Mary’s Bank Annual Shareholders meeting in April, to be elected by the membership to a two-year term. 

Chapdelaine is the Finance Officer/Secretary for Finance of the Diocese of Manchester, where he is responsible for financial accounting and reporting of its central administration.  He oversees and assists the 100+ parishes and 25 diocesan schools with annual financial reporting and operating, as well as capital budgeting. Chapdelaine also serves the financing needs of the parishes and schools by overseeing the deposit and loan function.

Prior to his position with the Diocese, Chapdelaine was a partner at the Ernst & Young accounting firm in Manchester.  Previously, he worked for the State of New Hampshire in the Office of the Legislative Budget.

Chapdelaine has been active in community affairs and professional organizations throughout his career.  He currently serves as the treasurer of the board of Catholic Medical Center.  He is a member of the Professional Ethics Committee of the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants and of the Manchester Rotary.  He previously served as chair of the board of Moore Center Services, Inc.

Chapdelaine is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, Mass.) and earned his MBA at Dartmouth College.  He and his wife Coni have two adult children and reside in Bedford.
