3/8/2010: Granite State College and St. Mary’s Bank partner with Moore Center Services’ Paul Boynton to launch his new book, Begin with Yes“Organizations Partner to Provide Books Free of Charge to Those They Serve”
Manchester, NH – Moore Center Services’ CEO Paul Boynton is a man of action, and a believer in the Law of Action. What we do, he believes, affects how we think and the kinds of experiences we have. It’s a paradigm Boynton outlines in his newly-published book, Begin with Yes, and one that a group of West side corporate neighbors are rallying behind: Granite State College and St. Mary’s Bank have partnered to take Paul Boynton and Begin with Yes to the New Hampshire masses by providing free copies of the book to those they serve.
Granite State College will offer the books to prospective students and has invited Boynton to speak to classes statewide about applying the Begin with Yes principles to their higher education and career pursuits. Granite State College offers face-to-face and online classes in nine locations across the state, including Manchester, Concord, Rochester, Portsmouth, Conway, Littleton, Berlin, Claremont and Lebanon, where Boynton’s book will be offered to prospective students while supplies last.
“GSC offers unique higher education opportunities to adults across the state,” said Dr. Karol LaCroix, president of GSC. “Many of our students are navigating career transitions, working full time while taking classes and daring to pursue their passions while juggling life’s responsibilities. Additionally, GSC, like many other colleges, has experienced increase enrollments during this difficult economic time. We’re seeing folks who were laid off return to school to finish uncompleted degrees to tackle new pursuits. We admire our students greatly and we want to show our support – and offer a little inspiration.”
Meanwhile, St. Mary’s Bank will provide copies of the book in their Londonderry, Nashua, Manchester and Milford retail offices for members experiencing lay-offs or career transitions.
“It’s important for us to acknowledge the reality of our some of our members: Many are experiencing hardships due to the difficult economic times,” said Tom Champagne, Director of Community Outreach. “In the spirit of the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” we want to provide this short, inspiring book to those members who’ve been particularly affected by financial challenges. We want to support and lend a hand to those who are struggling to get back to work.”
For his part, Boynton is thrilled at the reception the book has received in his home state and around the country. He has made copies of Begin with Yes available at cost to sponsors Granite State College and St. Mary’s Bank to ensure their financial commitments go further.
“Knowing that Begin with Yes is getting into the hands of folks who particularly need it is fantastic,” said Boynton. “To know that’s happening through the generosity of two local businesses is even better.” The books will be available at Granite State College locations and St. Mary’s Bank branches during March and April, while supplies last.
Meanwhile, Granite State College, St. Mary’s Bank and the Moore Center will host a Begin with Yes launch party at GSC’s new Manchester location at Mill West, on the city’s West side, on March 24 from 3 to 6 p.m. The launch party will double as the grand re-opening celebration of GSC in Manchester. “Our move into newly-refurbished space at Mill West and grand re-opening of our dynamic class space is very exciting,” said LaCroix. “It’s especially exciting to share the event with St. Mary’s Bank and Paul Boynton as we launch Begin with Yes.”
About Begin with Yes (Excerpt from the book’s back cover) The Law of Attraction tells us that whatever we focus our attention on consciously or not, we attract into our lives. Think happy thoughts, enjoy happy experiences. And vice versa.
Begin with Yes introduces the Law of Action, a principle that reverses the order – and it equally powerful: What we do affects how we think and the kinds of experiences we have. When we take small, manageable steps, we feel more positive and our lives flow more smoothly.
Begin with Yes is all about setting things in motion and opening new doors. Getting unstuck. In this short, engaging conversation, Paul Boynton maps out a surprisingly easy, logical and liberating alternate route to a better life. In short, not only does Begin with Yes make change seem possible, it provides concrete examples that show the way.
